Let's face it, sometimes we are unable to deliver our work on time, because of some reasons that are probably beyond our control. Has it happened to you? How did the client take it?

Whenever is clearly obvious that I will find it very difficult to meet up with the deadline delivery of a job, I will ask my client for an extension in order for me to be able to complete the job and just keep quiet.

It happens in many professions and projects. The best thing to do in that regard is to communicate with your client and explain to them. This is far better than just leaving them in the dark.

True, this is what many designers fail to understand. Explaining to clients about a change in delivery date is better than not telling them anything. That screams unprofessionalism.

Yes, I have missed out on delivering a job a couple of times and it was a really challenging, but what I don't hesitate in reaching out to the person giving me the job most times.

Nope, I always take the jobs that I get from my client seriously which is the reason why I meet up with deadline. This is because I work with a timetable to make sure that I don't disappoint anyone that I'm working for.

I have the option to ask for all my service deadline to be extended in case I couldn't meet up before any deal is agreed with any client. I make sure to deliver when I agreed upon but when it's out of my hands, I'll ask for time extension.

It is inevitable, there are times when you will be behind schedule in one way or another. When that happened it is best to communicate swiftly with your client and explain to them about the delay.

There's always a situation of an unforeseen circumstances I can't control. This have made me to miss some work deadline but with my steady communication with my client, they are updated on situation of things.

As a freelancer, if you are very serious with your work, it is going to be almost impossible for you to miss the deadline of any job that you're working on. If it's as a result of an unforeseen circumstances you're going to miss the deadline, you must have communicated with your client to give them an update.

This is very correct. It's wrong to work in the dark without keeping your client updated about the work progress. If there an actively communication on the job, it won't be difficult to inform the client about any delay.

Delivering the job as at when it is needed is key to how I run my activities. It is not always very easy to meet up, but one should make it a point of duty when it comes to meeting up with deadlines given.

That's the same thing I will also do. I haven't missed a deadline for any job no matter how difficult it might be. It's very important to keep to promises when it comes to work.

Always making sure to meet deadline with any client work is very important because they will know that you are a very serious person when it comes to doing your job.
