Let's face it, sometimes we are unable to deliver our work on time, because of some reasons that are probably beyond our control. Has it happened to you? How did the client take it?

True, this is what many designers fail to understand. Explaining to clients about a change in delivery date is better than not telling them anything. That screams unprofessionalism.

There are some days that I lagged behind but to avoid my client seeing me as an unserious person, I notify him that I will take some more time. He's understandable, more reason I was grateful. I maneuver my way to avoid losing him out.

Surely there are some days that missing deadlines are inevitable. In that case it is best to communicate with your clients before hand and not leave them hanging.

The thing is that even with all the reasonableness and constant communication, some clients don't take it lightly when their work is not delivered as at when due.
