I am always going for free tools whenever I am designing. Yeah, paid tools will give me the better version of what free tools will give me so I will choose paid tools of I have the money.
I would always say paid tools for those who have taken graphic designing as a profession. It makes their work to be easier with the unlimited features that are at their disposal.
In the beginning, I actually started out working with free graphic design software tools because that was what I can be able to work with at the time. But after some time, I had to upgrade to using some paid tools in order to get more out of them.
Paid graphics design tools will always be better because you're getting more better and improved features and resources when you're working with them. It's like what you get from using Canva Pro version.
