Do you think that internships help aspirant designers? Or is it a trick to pay you less and make use of the skills?

Internships really help a lot especially to students looking for skills and money at the same time. It has never been a trick, though the money is lesser but what you gain from it is far better than the money you are paid.

Do you think the same applies to unpaid internship as well?

It depends on where the newbie is getting such an internship. If it is from a pro that understands what he or she is doing, then I don't see any big deal with being an intern there since you will gain experience as well as learning fast on how complex designs are done.

I wouldn't have even had a push at running graphic designs if not for the fact that I began learning under someone. This means that internship was really beneficial to me as a person.

Yes, I did and it was very useful. I had a personal experience with my mentor. He was an expert in designing and crafting. I decided to learn under him, though he didn't pay well but I was glad that I learnt a lot of things that's helping me till date from him.

Do you think the same applies to unpaid internship as well?

I believe that the knowledge is what is the most important thing you should be interested in as someone working under internship because whatever knowledge you are getting from that arrangement is going to be worth more than any stipend they are going to pay you.

As someone who's working under internship, you're not paying any money for whatever you're being taught. If you're to pay to acquire the knowledge, it's going to cost a whole lot more than what you expect them to pay you.

Internship is really beneficial to everybody so far you are interested on what you are learning and also what you are being taught. There have been many of them that I am glad which I learnt.

Internship will always be very beneficial to any graphic designer who is willing to go through the process because it gives you access to a lot of knowledge that you cannot even be able to pay for on a silver platter. I always make use of such opportunities whenever they presents itself for me.
