Have you ever received almost the same work order from different client?

Unfortunately, I've not received exactly the same work which I've done before from another client. I really wish to get such kind of jobs because I wouldn't have to stress much completing it as quickly as possible.

It’s not even almost the same, it is basically the same order. All I had to do was made changes to the texts and fonts. Both clients really appreciated the designs.

As you start to work on it, you will find the similarity between the previous work you have done and the present. When you change the fonts and texts, sometimes the background too, it's already a new work.

Yes, I've had some jobs that are at least 70% similar ordered for my different people. It doesn't come often but when it comes, I will be relived because the work load will be lesser.

I haven't but I did got something similar to what I have already designed for a client. I only do what a good designer can do by copying and redoing a finishing touch to what the other client ordered.

The advantage of this is that you get better when you do such similar projects often.

If you ask every graphic designer, they will admit to wanting most of the jobs they have already worked on to repeat itself because it will make it much easier for them to complete and deliver the jobs quickly.

Well, it might be true especially when it's coming from the same clients that they have worked for because some clients will love to get the same design over and over again.

That's the very reason everybody wants to repeat their previous work so that they can do more better.

If freelancers accept just one kind of job then they will not be all that versatile on their niche. You should also get jobs that require you to think more and outside your scope.

Yeah, that happens sometimes. If it’s really similar, I don’t start from scratch, I reuse my previous work as a base and tweak it to fit the new client’s needs. It helps me to save time and still gets the job done properly.

That is exactly the benefit of getting the same gigs over and over again. You can revisit your previous work and just make tweaks to suit your current project.

Nope, I haven't been lucky enough to receive the same kind of jobs from different clients. I know it's possible to happen in the industry but I haven't been that fortunate in that regard.
