Full time or part time graphics designer?

How are working online as a graphics designer? Do you take on the job as a full time project or it's something that you're working on as a part time project to be combined with your other office job?

Would you be willing to take on being a graphics designer as a full time job?

Both are cool in my opinion. You need to find enough orders to survive if you are going full time.

I do freelance and will turn down jobs if I don't think that it's something I would want to design, or I don't feel the customer can pay my fee. Sometimes I give away work for free, and I also do things for my church for free because they can't afford to pay anyone.

I completely agree with you because the most important thing is for you to find a way to make it work for you since it's going to be a means of generating more money for yourself.

I have been working as a graphics designer on a part time job basis. I don't used to get jobs frequently, so I can't work as one on full time because hunger will kill me.

I started graphic designing as a hobby but when I saw the potential of the skill, I have to turn it to something of a permanent commitment and it have been amazing for me so far.

I am working both online and offline as a graphic designer. My work is a part time job which I am combining with other office job.

I am not willing to be a full-time graphic designer yet.

Doing designing full-time won't put food on my table. For that reason, I have decided to get a day job, which has been helpful in putting food on my table, you know. Being a designer is never easy talkmore make it a full-time job.

That offline job is really a necessity. As a starter, you won't get the jobs that will sustain you for a while. You take the offline job seriously and the freelance will be a part time work.

This is very nice because it means that even though you're not working as a full time graphics designer, you're still working with things that's about graphics designing. It will constantly keep sharpening your skills and make you better.

Being a part-time graphic designer is not bad. However, are you making plans to go into full designing in the future or is it something that is never part of your plans at all?

It is not about working on full-time basis as a graphic designer that is the problem but being able to make enough money from working as a full-time graphic designer to be able to take care of your responsibilities that is going to be a problem. Those who are even working normal jobs on full-time basis are finding it very difficult to cope.
