What is the first tool recommended when learning graphics design? Do you start simple or go full power?

It is important to start simple with tools such as canva. It may not have the basics that can make you become great at designing, but it is a good way to go.

I started simple with MS Paint and then Canva. I stopped using MS Paint when I started knowing my way with Canva and it's giving me what I want.

As someone who was starting to learn and not like it was a job I had to start making big money immediately, I had to start soft with MS Paint before I switched to using GIMP and Canva afterwards. It was when my base improved that I started using Photoshop.

That's a very good step. You can't be a professional without passing different stages or phases. I'm still making use of MS Paint and Canva when I want to design.

If you're starting out, it means you're still likey in the learning process stage. It's not necessary to go on full power in that stage. Go simple and get better before flooring the gas to push for the extreme.

Some newbies will like to show what they are made of and start with what they didn't know. They might be finding it so interesting but it will always crash especially when they don't know.

I will always advise newbies to take it one step at a time. Rome is not built in a day and focusing on the journey step by step on a daily basis is what separates winners from lovers.

When you start trying to rush everything when you are still in the early stage of learning graphic design, it is always going to pose a very serious challenge for you.

There are so many simple tasks that you should start from and build your foundation so that you can be able to take on bigger project later.

Even as I am, I am not perfect in designing and I always love to start from the basis. Rome was never build in a day and I understand it very well. It's just consistency and patience.

Everything depends on your financial capability when you want to start out learning graphic designing. If you have the funds to go on full power with using premium tools, I believe that that is going to help you very well because those tools will make learning very easy for you with improved features that they offer.

I started out with a simple graphics design tools. It was the free version GIMP and Canva that I began my graphics designing journey with. It have been more than 7 years, now I know the trade very well.
