Currently, it's Illustrator CS6 that I'm making use of. It's very good for graphics designing jobs. It's probably my favourite Adobe Illustrator at the moment.

Affinity Designer have been what I used as a good alternative to Adobe Illustrator which is very good to the best of my knowledge. The price is also affordable at $54.99.

It is a good choice. Now that Canva bought Serif, I don't know what will be the effect on the pricing structure.

It's only time that's going to tell what it's going to be like with the price structure but I don't think they are going to put it in a way it would discourage users.

Adobe Illustrator CC 2022 is currently my favourite software for my graphics illustration jobs. I've been using it for a while but I will update soon.
