Do you get intimidated when your work is compared to those done by professionals? How you cope with it?

I have never been intimidated because of my work being compared to the one done by a professional. I am always open and eager to see my mistakes and take corrections.

I don't get intimidated when I am compared with professionals. Being a professional does not mean they are very best, being professional means they make money from it. I am amateur does not mean I am back, it just means I have not got a lot of exposure.

This is an interesting take. It all takes confidence to be able to win as a designer, and being compared to professional is a sign that you are making progress. So, there is nothing to feel intimidated about, as you rightly said.

I love your mindset and I am ready to cultivate it to mine. I don't need to be intimidated by a professional designer. That I am not there doesn't mean I won't reach there. I will put all effort to get the exposure that will help me in designing like a pro.

The one thing that can cause slow progress for students is comparing your works to that of professionals. Those ones were once students too and they were committed to the art. So I learn from them and find out what I can do better, , not compare.

The moment my work start being compared with something that have been done by professional is a testament that I have improved a lot to be compared with those professional and it's something that I'm going to be very happy about.

It's not everyone that are privileged to have their work being compared with those who are already established in the graphics design industry. If I ever get to that stage, I'll consider myself a big pro.

Learning from them and not letting their progress undermine what you've achieved over a period of time is the key to achieving what you aim to achieve. It is not easy, but staying grounded and working towards becoming better is possible.

The simple truth is that there is always someone out there who is better than you which is the reason why you have to pay close attention to what the person is doing and learn from the professional in order to improve on yourself.

There is always going to be someone out there who is better than you in what you are doing as a graphic designer and if you can be able to learn one or two things from that person to upgrade your skill, it is something that is very good.
