Asking too much

For an artist, there is a wide variety of tasks. Photo manipulation is entirely different skill when compared to illustrations. Do you think it is hard when an artist is supposed to handle every single branch of graphics design.

The most important thing when you are working as an artist is for you to accept to work on something that you know you have the skills and knowledge to deliver on, otherwise you're going to mess up your publicity.

This is what I tell most of my friends. No matter the money that is involved, knowing when to accept a job and when to avoid one makes the whole difference for anyone planning to go far in their career.

It's not possible for someone to know everything and acquire all the skills that is involved in all aspects of graphic designing. Human beings are not computer program, so it is not possible in my opinion.

A jack of all trades is a master of none. This is my short and simple answer to this question about a graphic designer trying to know everything.

I think it's a lot to expect. Most designers have strengths, so it's better to master a few areas than try to be an expert at everything.
