There is a first time for everyone in the design industry. Due to being newbies, many miss out on some details. The one that I notice the most is lack of alignment. There is also the storytelling aspect of the designs.

What else do you think new designers often miss?

Colour picking have been a problem for newcomers to graphics designing and will keep being a problem to some old people as well. Colour selection isn't a joke, it's not easy.

Newbies miss hierarchy and spacing. Good breathing space can make a design look good but not everybody knew about that.

Using too many fonts is also a mistake that newbies miss.

They lack patience. It's why so many of them rush so many jobs or even plug out from where they are learning because they are too eager to make money for themselves. It's why they struggle after a while in everything.

Patience is a very essential quality that every designer needs to cultivate. Many are in a haste to get it all at a fast pace, which is just not possible.

From my experience, new designers miss out proper spacing in their work. A very good design will look off when its elements feel too crowded. A clean design work is more appealing.

A lot of newbies also ignore feedback and revisions by getting too attached to their first idea. Feedback is what helps every designer improve their work and get better.

Feedback is very important because it helps to see what you can improve on and do better.

I guess the coming of AI has not even helped matters in that regard as many designers always feel like they are missing out when they fail to get the job done early enough.

Exactly. I don't seem to understand why some people hate it so much whenever they are given feedback on their jobs. It's as if they don't want to improve.

Actually, the introduction of AI in graphic designing have been of more advantage because it makes it easier for those challenging aspects of the jobs to be easily handled.
