How good are you with open source design tools and ecosystem. Do you think it is capable to replacing the commercial tools?

GIMP is one of the best open-source graphics design Linux tool that I have worked it. Even though that it's a free tool, it's very effective and efficient for most of the things you want to work with it. I wouldn't say it's going to replace the commercial tools but it's going to keep bringing variety to the mix.

Did you try the development version of GIMP 3.0? It is a good tool in many ways. When the stable comes out somewhere this year end or next year, it is going to create waves.
