Linux and graphics design

How good is Linux for a graphics workflow? Have you tried using it?

I am using Linux on my older laptop that is coming up for being 10 years old now and even though I have been creating graphics and working on bettering my skills in graphic design, I can't say I have looked into what programs are available on Linux for website design.

Would be interesting to see if anyone has used anything on Linux that would be worth checking out.

GIMP is Photoshop for Linux primarily. They offer a version for other platforms for reasons unknown. GIMP is extremely fast and got a lot of plugins in Linux.

In fact, most free graphics tools were first made for Linux and then ported to other OS.

Yes of course, Linux programs are very good for a lot of graphics design jobs that you can work on. There are so many impressive graphic design tools on Linux which many of them are free and open-source. GIMP is a very good example which is used for image editing.

GIMP, Inkscape, Krita there are a lot of tools available for Linux users. Many artists think that Apple ecosystem is the only competent one. Linux has tools that are good and able to do advanced graphics.
