Keeping the client upfront and updated is the best thing and respect to whoever ask for the work. It can become a fuss when one decides not to communicate while delaying on the work.

Yes I agree. But there are just some time when you can’t help it. When you embark on the project you can see that it will take longer time than you thought.

Some days are like that and no one can help it. For those times, I will make sure I give it all my all and then relay to the client what the issue at hand will be, getting more time for the work.

This actually so underrated. If you know that your clients deadline cannot work for you, let them know right from time and set your own time. This is better than disappointing them.
