If you ever ventured into this, I have seen some interesting visual effects added to some reels and short form videos? Have you tried adding them to your projects? How was the response?
From my observation, it's very clearly that Instagram reels have had a more positive impact on graphics design over the years since it was introduced. It's very clear with how it integrated more motion and interactive elements in its videos which are now used as well in graphics designs outside reels.
I'm not using the effects because I am not an active member in Instagram but my sister does . Using those effects can make the reels in Instagram more visually appealed, leading to more views. The effects also add playful touch and making the reels to be enjoyable.
Those interesting visual effects added to some reels and short videos on Instagram and other platforms like Snapchat are all targeted at having more impact on those who are watching those videos. They act like attention glue because they increase viewers interest in those videos.
Unfortunately, I don't make use of Instagram. It's one of those social media sites that I haven't been able to break into using. It's Tiktok that I've been using in the same regard of getting the effects used in videos on the platform in some of my works.
I've tried adding some of them to my projects, they really looked cool. Although someone who reviews my work pointed out he saw something similar on Instagram.
