The AI is there to make designer’s work easier. You can use it to generate ideas, to critique your work or to fine tune it when you are done. AI can be a productive tool if it is used properly and in the right way.

Do you make use of AI when making designs?

Yes, it's something that I started doing recently. I tried to ignore it for a long time but I had to realise that AI will make it more easier for me to get my task done with great help. It's why I don't waste time to make use of it.

I use AI for inspiration in my designs. Sometimes I would need something that can be a guide for a project I want to do, AI proves to be handy then.

AI moves mad sometimes. Tell it what you expect from it and you will be getting different kinds of responses. I cannot depend on something that is so unreliable.

I understand what you mean, I’ve been there. There are times when I will just give up on it. But at times it can come handy as well. The trick is to know the right prompts to use.

I will only use AI to know the area I needed to put more effort in my works. It has proven to be good but I don't rely always on it.

You are going to be putting yourself in a disadvantage position if you are overlooking all the AI tools that are available for you to use and assist yourself in whatever project you are working on. This is because those AI tools makes it very easy for you to do an excellent job.

AI make designs to be easier and I am making use of them when necessary. My point is that I can't just put all my trust on it without trying to know if there's a way I create something beautiful.

Exactly. AI is there to help us improve our designs, but it’s just that many seem to overuse it. They depend solely on it and tend to lose their own personal touch.

Today, it's almost impossible for you to go the whole 24 hours in a day without seeing one or two things done with AI tools. A lot of contents we see online and ready everyday are AI partly generated. In graphics designing, the use of AI is inevitable now.

AI is very interesting to use today in so many projects you're working on because they can make it very easy and more interesting. But you have to know the rate at which you are going to involve the use of AI in so many of your graphic design work to make sure it doesn't lose it's uniqueness.

I haven't used AI for any graphics design work but I'm looking forward to it. I've used AI for so many other tasks but not graphics designing. When I learn how to use it for graphics designing, I'll apply it.

Even Photoshop now have AI powered features in the software and the same thing is also available on Canva. It is very difficult for you to avoid AI today which is the reason why I use it in ways that will benefit me.

I make use of AI just to develop and expand my ideas. I use it to get a visual representation of what I should work on and how the outcome is supposed to be.

Before AI, it's very difficult and requires great skills to succeed in graphics designing. Today, it's a totally different case because with AI, it's so much easy to learn the ropes and do well in graphics designing.

This only happens when you're not being specific with the prompts you probably provided for it to generate. This is why I don't give any AI half prompt when trying to use it.

Yes, I use AI to assist in my design workflow, and it has significantly improved efficiency and creativity. Here’s how AI helps:

1. Idea Generation & Inspiration

  • ChatGPT & MidJourney – Helps brainstorm design concepts, color palettes, and themes.
  • Adobe Firefly & DALL·E – Generates AI-based design mockups & artwork.

2. Quick Prototyping & Automation

  • Figma AI & Canva Magic Design – Speeds up UI/UX prototyping.
  • Remove.bg & Photoshop AI – Instantly removes backgrounds & enhances images.

3. Smart Editing & Enhancements

  • Adobe Sensei AI – Automates tasks like image resizing, retouching & content-aware fill.
  • Runway ML & Topaz AI – Improves image quality & generates creative visuals.

4. Typography & Layouts

  • Fontjoy & Adobe Font AI – Suggests font pairings.
  • Canva AI Layouts – Auto-generates clean, aesthetic compositions.

5. Productivity & Workflow

  • Notion AI & ChatGPT – Helps with content writing for branding.
  • AutoDraw – Turns rough sketches into polished designs.

Final Thoughts

AI doesn’t replace creativity, but it acts as a powerful assistant to enhance design speed, automate repetitive tasks, and bring new ideas to life. I use AI as a co-pilot, but the final creative decisions always come from my design expertise.
