How do you handle clients that constantly request for changes?

I always make sure that I reach an agreement on what to do for a client before starting the job. Once we have an agreement, there is no room for me to change anything unless the person is paying extra for it.

How do you handle designer’s block?

It is always very important to have where you draw inspiration from as a graphic designer. I believe that it helps a lot whenever a graphic designer is having designer's block. When you go back to your source of inspiration, it is going to put things right once again for you.

How do you like your logo

For the past 10 years that I've been using forums, I would say that simple logos are the best. This is because they help to make things very easy for the eyes.

How much do you charge for a logo

Personally, I think it's very expensive to charge between $100 to $300 for just a logo design. I wouldn't be willing to pay that much for a logo.

Whats the important tip you'd give a young new designer?

I always advice anyone who is new into graphic designing to never be in a rush to complete a job. Make sure that you take things slowly and do it right without any mistakes.

Have you ever received bad reviews for your job?

I've never been indifferent when I receive a bad review for my job. This only means that I need to improve in whatever I've delivered to my client so that I will always be patronized by them.

Is YouTube the best place to start learning graphics design?

YouTube is a very good platform where you can learn everything and not just graphic designing. Finding the right resources that you are going to learn with is the most difficult aspect of making use of YouTube.

    Freelancing or contract role?

From my experience, I know that contract jobs pays higher but they don't usually come easily. This is why most people are into freelancing instead of waiting for contract jobs from companies.

How do you deal with an aggressive client?

This is exactly the same approach I use with anybody that I'm working with. If you are not going to be respectful and reasonable when negotiating with me the way you talk, there is no need for us to work together.

    Ever lost a client?

I've had some clients that we couldn't reach an agreement and they had to go away. It's always very frustrating when I can't reach an agreement to be hired by a client.
  11. Larry

Have you lost any client as a result of a bad review?

Everything depends on the number of bad reviews that you have. If 98% of your reviews are positive with only 2% negative, I don't think any reasonable client will refuse to work with you because of it.

Have you ever outsourced any of your jobs?

Fortunately I've never found myself in a station whereby I have to outsource my job to another graphic designer to help me out. This is because I normally have the time and schedule management to take care of everything on my own.

Do you use AI to assist in your design?

AI is very interesting to use today in so many projects you're working on because they can make it very easy and more interesting. But you have to know the rate at which you are going to involve the use of AI in so many of your graphic design work to make sure it doesn't lose it's uniqueness.

Do you like playing music when you're working?

No! I am someone who gets distracted very easily which is the reason why playing music whenever I am working on any graphic design project is something I wouldn't consider. This is because it is going to interfere with my work in a bad way.

Does one need to go to college to learn graphic design?

There are so many things which you can learn today without having any experience of being within the four walls of the university. Graphic design is something that you can learn on your own without even needing someone to teach you as long as you can have access to online educational tutorials...

Do you use Escrow services with clients?

Doing this is not going to work out for me because I don't have any interest of making use of a 3rd party services when I know it is possible for me to get my payment upfront from the client I am working for before I start and deliver the job.

How do you deal with negative feedbacks?

A lot of clients that I have worked for are actually very honest whenever I have delivered their jobs. So, whenever they give a negative feedback, I know that there is something wrong with what I have done for them and I will try my best to correct it. This is to make sure that I have a very...

    Client interference

One of the most important thing for you to do when working as a graphic designer is to make sure that you get all the instructions and requirements your client wants on any particular job that you're doing for them. This is so that you make sure you are not working outside their expectations.
  19. Larry

How do you handle client feedback when it conflicts with your design instincts?

I believe that when you work with the stipulated instructions your clients left for you to use and do a project for them, there is nothing that is going to conflict whatever you are doing once you have completed the job.

Do you give out the full rights to your works?

The only thing I request from my clients after I've delivered my job for them is for me to be referred to their friends and other people whom might be interested in the same services that I render. Also, I'd have them to write a review for the job that I've done for them.
